Project Financial Manager

Primary Function:

GenPro Energy Solutions is seeking an experienced Project Financial Manager to provide strong financial and budgetary leadership on construction projects. The successful candidate will have full responsibility for their portfolio of projects and be responsible for completing each project within budget while maintaining optimal profitability.  They will also be responsible for developing and encouraging employees and ensuring the success of their team, direct Supervisor, and the Company.

Pay Range:    Commenusrate with Experience

Essential Job Functions:

  • Directly responsible for project cash flow, financial reporting, revenue, and expenses

  • Coordinate with sales and energy development team members in creating and managing forecasts and budgets for various projects

  • Gather and analyze data to identify areas for improvements and develop solutions to keep projects on budget

  • Gather required financial project documents and forms, such as bonds, W-9s, certificates of insurance, and other required documentation to remain in compliance and in accordance with project contracts

  • Coordinate and lead regularly scheduled project meetings

  • Issue monthly status and financial reports and update work in process schedules

  • Work closely with supply chain in the procurement of material and associated purchase orders

  • Assist with creation of project proposals to ensure accuracy of estimated costs of labor, material, subcontractors, taxes, and other job costs

  • Determines financial impacts of deviations from project plan and assist in solution to counteract impacts

  • Communicate with field operations, sales, and executive team members regularly to ensure full knowledge of project progress and profitability

  • Other duties as assigned

    Experience/Knowledge:

    • Proven leadership experience in accounting, finance, or related positions

    • Management or project management experience desired, including PV solar, LED lighting and controls 

    • Project or financial management experience preferred 

    • Experience managing projects with a budget greater than a million dollars 

    • Experience managing multiple projects at once 

    • Demonstrated ability to professionally respond to stressful situations in a friendly, patient, and timely manner 

    • Demonstrated knowledge of project management processes required 

      Skills and Other Characteristics:

      • Self-starter with ability to manage details of multiple projects simultaneously. 

      • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. 

      • Ability to create and edit Excel documents that use mathematical formulas and logic. 

      • Ability to consistently and accurately document project details. 

      Education/Licenses:

      • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics
