Primary Function:

GenPro Energy Solutions is seeking a friendly, organized, and highly motivated Sales Support Specialist to support our Sales Team.  The Sales Support Specialist will assist the sales team with a variety of administrative, technical, and customer-facing duties with the express purpose to allow the sales team to focus on increasing volume. The successful candidate must demonstrate a high level of administrative expertise, be technically minded, must be able to understand, interpret, and speak technically, and be customer focused. A work-from-home option is available for the right candidate.

Reporting relationship:  Senior Director of Energy Efficiency

Pay Range: G-9   $21.64 – $28.62 Per Hour Based on Experience

Essential Job Functions:

  • Support all sales professionals by entering sales data derived from design software and other mediums into appropriate enterprise resource planning (ERP) and project management systems
  • Receive information from sales professionals relating to generator, residential solar, solar street lighting, or other sales divisions and accurately create estimates into the system (ERP)
  • Receive closed/won lighting audits and create estimates
  • Receive information – including photos, documents, schedules, etc. – from outside sales professionals and upload it into the project management system
  • Acquire necessary permits and interconnection agreements associated with closed/won jobs
  • Act as the primary point of contact for notifying Field Operations that a job/project is ready to install, including ensuring that all permits and agreements are completed and signed, material is on hand, and the project management platform has all necessary docs uploaded
  • Coordinate and manage warranty process for all departments, including communication with the customer, working with the supply chain team (or manufacturer), and managing RMA (return merchandise authorization) process within the ERP
  • Receive incoming phone calls and direct to appropriate department
  • Assist walk-in customers as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills/Ability/Other Characteristics:

  • Strong human relations skills to build, maintain, and enhance relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Proficient in computer applications: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and ability to learn specialized software programs such as NetSuite and Procore
  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and support internal team goals and external customers in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction – both internal and external to the company
  • Must be available to work during business hours – Monday – Friday (8 am – 5 pm)
  • All work performed, must be conducted at the corporate office. *This is not a remote position

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of lighting technologies, or demonstrated ability to learn
  • Knowledge of the clean-tech market, including solar energy, or demonstrated ability to learn
  • Knowledge of power generation technology, or demonstrated ability to learn
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft products and CRM software

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of customer service, sales process support, or project management support
  • Prior electrical industry or other technical field experience desired
  • Experience in renewable energy and/or water pumping is highly desirable

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business similar preferred, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Certifications/Credentials:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
