SENIOR CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

GenPro Energy Solutions is the region’s foremost expert on solar energy installations of the sub-1MW to 20MW size. Our Engineering, Procurement, and Construction team has doubled the number of projects taken on in the past twelve months and will continue to grow rapidly for the next several years and beyond. GenPro is searching for highly- skilled industry leaders to help continue to shape our team into a highly efficient, productive, and profitable team as we continue to scale.

Primary Function

The Senior Construction Manager will have extensive knowledge of PV Solar installation and electrical codes, with an emphasis on safety and OSHA regulations. Responsible for the on-budget, on-time construction of the various EPC projects. Traveling is an important part of this job to be effective.

COMPENSATION: Base Salary Plus Bonus Opportunity; Depends on Experience

DAY-TO-DAY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage GenPro Energy’s PV Solar project construction.
  • Collaborate with the project development team to estimate resources for timely, on-budget completion.
  • Oversee and direct the construction teams to meet goals and follow processes.
  • Drive the Construction Mangers (CM’s) to ensure their teams are compliant with permitting and regulatory requirements during construction.
  • Track and follow up on tasks for multiple projects.
  • Work with the CM’s/CS’s and Construction Teams to capture and effectively plan the order of operations, resources needed, and materials required for successful execution of projects.
  • Oversee and audit project schedules and statuses.
  • Manage projects to customer contracts, focusing on milestones, subcontracts, and critical construction elements.
  • Oversee CM’s/CS’s working directly with customers to ensure communication, satisfaction, and coordination on and off the job site.
  • Ensure CM’s/CS’s team is prepared for customer-facing communications.
  • Ensure the construction team meets customer goals for safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Plan, execute, and report on overall construction performance.
  • Identify and address gaps within the construction team.

    • Establish and enforce quality control standards and procedures.

    • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for construction team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the team.
  • Sustainability and Environmental Compliance
    • Ensure all construction activities comply with environmental regulations and sustainability goals.
    • Implement and promote environmentally responsible construction practices.
  • Innovation and Technology Integration integrating with procurement
    • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and construction methods to enhance project efficiency and quality.
    • Integrate innovative solutions and best practices into construction processes.
  • Project Documentation and Reporting
    • Prepare and present regular construction status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Safety Leadership
    • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture within the construction team.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their satisfaction and repeat business.
    • Address client concerns and feedback promptly and effectively.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Job requires approximately 25% percent travel time to job sites in the US
  • Job requires visiting sites during various times of year

EXPERIENCE:

  • Ten years of experience working as a construction manager, foreman, project manager, or related position
  • Ability to read blueprints, terminate cable, install and troubleshoot wiring from drawing
  • Fully comprehend and adhere to NEC, NFPA, OSHA, DOT, and other federal and state requirements
  • Thorough understanding of the NEC including article 690.
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management
  • Experience in renewable energy

EDUCATION / CREDENTIALS / LICENSES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or similar degree desired, or proven track record of performance in the construction industry, with renewable energy being preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record, preferably with CDL

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willingness to travel in multi-state region with extended overnight stays
  • International travel is required, Passport eligible
