GenPro Energy, our customers, and our vendors have been the target of several sophisticated spam attempts in the last several weeks. Fraudulent emails have been sent to customers requesting an update to GenPro’s payment method. GenPro has not changed payment accounts, and such emails should be disregarded.
We advise customers with concerns to call our office at 1-605-341-9920 to verify the legitimacy of requests for payment history, amounts due or changes in payment processes.
Additionally, GenPro Energy urges customers with concerns about the identity of someone claiming to represent the company to call 605-341-9920 to verify employment. Calling local law enforcement is also an option.
Tips for safety:
- Do not provide your Social Security number, credit card numbers or bank account information to anyone during an unsolicited phone call or email.
- Do not change payment methods without first speaking to a representative of GenPro Energy to confirm the legitimacy of the request.
